Andy on Tour #4
Rained out again
This past week was again rained out, as it seems the weather doesn't seem to want to cooperate with us right now. The week before (American Thanksgiving) my dad, brother, and 16 guys were down to play for the week. My roommate, Matt McKelvie, and I practiced and played on our own throughout the day, and also had some fun with the guys at night.
Matt and I have been invited to a Pro-Am held at River Hills this weekend. Our entry fees are paid for so it turned out to be an easy decision to say yes. Today we played our practice round and had a meet and greet at night. The tournament is a different format for a Pro-Am with 2 pros in each group and playing in 5-somes. It is a 2 day tournament with more than $200,000 up for grabs.
This coming week the Tour is at Brunswick Plantation. I was notified by my dad on Thursday morning that my uncle has passed away. Although my parents and family have told me that I am home in 3 weeks to see them, family comes first and is more important than any golf tournament or job. I have booked my flight home on Sunday night so I can be there for my family and the funeral on Monday. I am then flying back on Wednesday morning to prepare for my tournament next week. My thoughts and prayers are with my family and I will be home soon.
