Driving down to Myrtle Beach I realized I am really doing it. I have overcome a few obstacles with help from my family, friends, and quite a few doctors. This gave me a feeling that not only my golf is moving forward, but my life is moving forward and recovering from my car accident. I have found a course to practice and play at with the golf pro Kevin giving me a great deal, which is helping me out. I am at the course everyday either playing, practicing, or both. My girlfriend Ashley drove down with me and helped me settle into my condo. I am now a very healthy eater and never miss a meal! My first tournament was at Aberdeen Golf Club in Longs, SC. Although I missed the cut I learned a lot in my first tournament. First of all I haven't been able to play competitively in over a year so I was a little nervous going into my first professional tournament. I also made myself realize that I do belong with these great golfers as I was (-1) on the back nine through 2 days, showing myself I can play at the level I need to. The front 9 at Aberdeen really set me back both days. I was hitting good putts but they didn't seem to want to fall this week, such is golf. I am currently getting ready for my next tournament which is hosted by Black Bear Golf Club on Tuesday. With practice rounds Sunday and Monday I should be prepared for my early tee time on Tuesday. Many thanks for the support from both Saugeen and Stone Tree members that is allowing me to do this. A member at Saugeen once told me, "the harder you work the luckier you get."
