The Kincardine and Point Clark lighthouses should be a part of your visit to the area. The Kincardine lighthouse, located in the downtown area, was built in the harbour hillside in 1881 to service a busy fishing and local salt shipping industry. Take a short drive south and you'll find the Point Clark Lighthouse, which was one of the first "imperial towers" to flash its light. It was also the first lighthouse to be declared a National Historic Site. |
